NOTICE TO RECEIVE SEALED BIDS
The Town of Havana will receive sealed bids from any qualified person, company or corporation interested in constructing the:
LINCOLN STREET WATERLINE REPLACEMENT
This project will include the replacement of existing 2” waterline and replace it with approximately 1,150 LF of 6” waterline, to include the associated valves, fittings and hydrants.
Plans and specifications can be obtained at Dewberry Engineers Inc., 20684 Central Avenue East, Blountstown, Florida 32424. (For questions, please contact Justin Ford at (850) 674-3300 or [email protected]). The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes.
Completion date for this project will be 60 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder.
Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $200.00 per day.
Please indicate on the envelope that this is a sealed bid for the “LINCOLN STREET WATERLINE REPLACEMENT”.
Bids will be received until 12:00 PM (EST) on November 14, 2024, at the Havana Town Hall, 711 North Main Street, Havana, FL 32333, and will be opened and read aloud on November 14, 2024 at 2:00 PM (EST). The Bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder.
The Town of Havana reserves the right to reject any and all bids. All Bids shall remain firm for a period of sixty days after the opening. All bidders shall comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing registration and regulation of contractors doing business to the State of Florida.
RESPONSIBLE VENDOR DETERMINATION
Respondent is hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires that the County may not request documentation of or consider a vendor's social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor.
